KahlWax 2039L Candelilla

This double-filtered, high-quality wax is obtained from the wild-growing shrub of the Euphorbia Antisyphilitica family, native to Mexico. Candelilla wax is very adhesive, has a good oil binding capacity, creates very hard oleogels, and is easy to work with. It is more brittle than beeswax and less hard than carnauba wax.

Application

Candelilla wax is traditionally used to harden stick formulations and other hot poured products. It is the wax with the highest shrinkage/contraction capacity, which eases demolding from metal molds.
